Biography

Toiling in the vegetable patch as a kid, creating new sections of garden when his parents were out as a teen, planting with flood lights at night while working in the city,  Dennis Flynn has always been passionate about plants and turning ideas into reality.  For years he created designs and built landscapes for friends and family and is fortunate to able to turn a passion into a career.  After nearly 20 years as a project and program manager in the software industry for companies such as CA Technologies, Instinet and Fiserve he combined his love of nature and all things natural with his business and customer skills to build a business creating beautiful and personal spaces for his clients.  

Philosophy
  • A landscape...
    •  is a holistic multidimensional space that is the sum of all parts.  It is the hardscape, plants, furniture and accessories, and most importantly it is assembled in a manner that reflects who it has been created for.  Each space we create is personal.
    • is meant to be lived in.  We build spaces for people to relax, live and connect with nature. 
    • needs to be functional in addition to beautiful.  The use of the space drives the design, and the level of care required is aligned to the clients skill set or desire to engage the garden.
    • is a long term investment designed to provide interest and pleasure from season to season and year to year.
  • There is a responsibility to the environment and the creatures that live in it including your and me.  Incorporating native plants and using organic materials and fertilizers is a priority.
  • Good soil is the foundation of a healthy landscape.  For plants to grow and thrive the soil needs to be able to support them into maturity.
  • Clients are partners in the creation of their spaces.  Collaborating and communication is key to making sure their dreams become a reality.
